Assistant Manager, Risk Management & Data Protection

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work with Data Governance Committee to implement and enforce the data governance framework, policies and procedures
• Provide secretariat support to the Data Governance Committee meetings
• Provide guidance and oversight on data protection and privacy risk, focusing on areas that present higher data privacy risks and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) non-compliance risks
• Develop and review a Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP) that covers policy, processes, and people for the handling of personal data at each stage of the data lifecycle
• Monitor compliance with PDPA regulations and policies relating to the protection of personal data
• Review and advise on Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and monitor performance of mitigations, where necessary
• Provide incident management advice and/or support as needed and ensure that data incidents and breaches are responded to and managed effectively with data subjects
• Plan and develop training and communications materials, including e-learning module to staff
• Provide support in other risk management areas such as Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and Control Self Assessment, as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data governance, data protection and risk management
• Good understanding of Singapore’s PDPA
• Candidates with PDPA Practitioner Certificate in PDP Preparatory Course, CIPP or CIPM (or equivalent) will be an advantaged
